Leaflets
Booklet
Booklet leaflets are designed for situations where the volume of information exceeds the capacity of a standard folded leaflet. They are ideal for medicines requiring extensive details on dosage, warnings, and drug-drug interactions, or for products destined for multilingual markets requiring translations in multiple languages. These ‘booklets’ are usually bound or glued along the spine, allowing the patient to browse the pages in an orderly and easy manner, ensuring that all information is readily accessible and organised.
With glue dot closure
Leaflets with glue dot closure are practical solutions for keeping the leaflet folded compactly and securely inside the pack. This method involves applying one or more concealed dots of glue to the leaflet itself before inserting it into the box, thereby preventing it from unfolding prematurely and keeping it in place while still allowing the patient access to its contents. This technique is useful for optimising machinability on high-speed packaging lines, by ensuring smooth insertion and reducing the risk of jamming or leaflet damage.
With closure label
Leaflets with closure labels are a solution that ensures the integrity and confidentiality of the leaflet before it is opened by the patient. An adhesive label is applied across the outer folds of the leaflet or over its closure, to keep it compact. This label can also act as a security seal, by providing a clear indication of whether the leaflet has been previously opened or tampered with.
Patient Alert Card
Patient Alert Cards are designed to provide patients with additional, critical and immediately recognisable information on specific medicinal products. They are generally printed on thicker card for greater durability and highlight important warnings, special instructions (e.g. need for regular testing, serious side effects to be monitored) or the information to be given to doctors in an emergency. Patient Alert Cards are crucial for medicines with complex safety profiles, long-term therapies or products that require special attention from the patient or carer.
