Security labels

This seal-label uses a particularly strong glue that, if removed, damages the surface of the folding carton, making any tampering immediately obvious, in compliance with Article 54 of Directive 2011/62/EU (Community code relating to medicinal products for human use, as regards the prevention of the entry into the legal supply chain of falsified medicinal products). We created a seal validation protocol to identify the best adhesive, according to the surface of the pharmaceutical carton.

The “Politransfer” label, if removed, transfers a permanent graphic mark on the pharmaceutical carton. For example, by applying the Politransfer label on the barcode of a sales package, the package becomes unsaleable. Any attempt to remove the transferred text causes evident damage to the folding carton.

Ultra-destructible seal-labels offer highly visible proof of tampering, in compliance with Article 54 of Directive 2011/62/EU. The seal material
contains three-colour fluorescent UV fibrils (green, yellow, and red) detectable with WOOD lamps to guarantee authenticity of the medicine.
