We believe that sustainability is not a goal to be achieved alone, but a journey to be shared. For this reason, last March we launched “Decarbonisation Path: the value chain of the future“: 4 online workshops involving 27 of our key raw material suppliers, hauliers and forwarders..
The goal? To guide our partners in defining decarbonisation plans aligned with the rigorous standards of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
From group meetings to one-on-one sessions
Our efforts go beyond theoretical training. Between April and May, we are turning dialogue into action through one-on-one sessions dedicated to suppliers in need of strategic support. These personalised meetings allow us to listen to their needs, resolve technical doubts, and share the path we ourselves have taken.
Our SBTi-approved targets
Why are we pursuing this direction? A company’s true sustainability is measured across the entire value chain. Directly engaging suppliers means reducing the overall environmental impact and building a resilient network. Guiding us in this challenge are our own near-term emission reduction targets, already approved by the SBTi. Specifically, our Scope 1 and 2 emission targets are officially aligned with the rigorous 1.5 °C scenario, the most ambitious designation available under SBTi standards.
A shared challenge for a sustainable future
We understand that decarbonisation requires significant effort and investment. However, we are convinced that the strength of our Group lies in the quality of our relationships throughout the value chain.
Through these workshops and constant dialogue, we aim to inspire every link in our supply chain, ensuring that sustainability becomes the driving force behind our shared growth.
