Since 2021, we have stood alongside Dynamo Camp, Italy’s first Recreational Therapy camp, which provides free stays for children and teenagers aged 6 to 17 suffering from serious or chronic illnesses. In 2023, this partnership evolved into something even more meaningful: the launch of a corporate volunteering programme that has brought our employees to the heart of this mission, making them the protagonists of an experience capable of generating authentic value.
For us, this project represents far more than a simple charitable initiative: it is an act of responsibility, an opportunity to strengthen our values, build ties with the local area, and make a concrete contribution to the community’s wellbeing. Below, we explore how this programme is creating a positive impact not only on the direct beneficiaries but also on our corporate culture, through the words of Elena Marchi, Corporate HR Manager at Palladio Group. Elena was the driving force behind the project’s activation, having participated herself last year and renewed her commitment for 2025.
Elena, why did we decide to support Dynamo Camp?
Palladio Group has always had a strong vocation for supporting voluntary associations, particularly those dedicated to projects for minors. Our collaboration with Dynamo Camp began in 2021, thanks to the enthusiasm of several colleagues at our Tuscan plant who had experienced the reality of the San Marcello Piteglio Camp first-hand.
What drove us to choose Dynamo Camp was their unique commitment: giving children with serious or chronic conditions the right to be ‘simply children’. This mission aligns with our own values, as we also aim to improve people’s quality of life through innovative products and services.
Furthermore, we were impressed by Dynamo’s professionalism, reliability, and organisational capacity, as well as the richness of the Recreational Therapy programmes they offer. Since 2023, our commitment has become even more tangible: we launched a corporate volunteering programme that allows our employees to contribute to society by living a unique experience during working hours. We are proud of this partnership, which not only strengthens our local ties but allows us to make a real difference for many children and their families.
How is this initiative perceived by our employees?
The launch of the corporate volunteering project immediately sparked great curiosity and enthusiasm across Palladio Group. In 2024, 15 colleagues completed their volunteering period at Dynamo Camp in San Marcello Piteglio, and some have already decided to repeat the experience in 2025. Promoting a corporate culture based on the values of solidarity is fundamental to us, and through this project, we have succeeded in bringing many people closer to the world of social work. The programme has fostered strong engagement at all levels of the company: from production to the offices, and from managers to senior leadership.
The feedback I have received from colleagues has been extraordinary. I personally had the privilege of taking part in this incredible adventure and can confirm that the energy and optimism felt at Dynamo Camp are difficult to describe. I experienced the special atmosphere that permeates the Camp first-hand—a contagious emotion that touched every participant, including myself, making the experience even more enriching and memorable.
Our leadership has also welcomed the programme with great favour, deciding to provide an additional donation for every employee who chooses to dedicate their time to volunteering with Dynamo Camp. For 2025, our goal is ambitious: to involve 20 volunteers. We are certain that together we can do even more!
Through this volunteering programme, our Group demonstrates how a company can go beyond its core business, taking an active role in building a more inclusive and supportive society. The enthusiasm of our employees, the cross-functional involvement, and the tangible results achieved so far are proof that volunteering not only improves the lives of the beneficiaries but also profoundly enriches those who take part.
